Peter Edelmann is giving a presentation to CBA - Edmonton (Canadian Bar Association) regarding crimmigration on November 16, 2016.  Crimmigration is the intersection between criminal law and immigration law.

Peter Edelmann is participating in the national consultation by the standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security on The Green Paper.  This Green Paper is intended to prompt discussion and debate about Canada's national security framework, which will inform policy changes that will be made following the consultation process.

Peter Edelmann was a guest lecturer at the Administrative and Regulatory law seminar in the Criminology Department at the Richmond campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Erica Olmstead is co-teaching the Appellate Advocacy course at the University of British Columbia law school every Thursday for the Fall, 2016 semester. The upper year course teaches issues relating to advocacy before appellate courts in criminal and immigration proceedings and techniques of appellate advocacy.

Again this year, Erica Olmstead is volunteering to supervise the Law Students' Legal Advice Program (LSLAP) Surrey Gateway Immigration Clinic, held every two weeks at the Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre.
