Hans joined Edelmann and Co. in 2020 and currently practices Canadian Immigration and Refugee Law. He particularly enjoys immigration litigations and appeals. He obtained his law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana and Master of Arts in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. Hans is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia (Washington DC) as well as in British Columbia.

 

Prior to joining Edelmann and Co., he began his legal career working on U.S. Immigration as an American lawyer. Then he practiced criminal defence at C. Keith Aartsen Law Corporation in Prince George and had been defending motor vehicle accident claims at an in-house setting for a number of years. Hans has appeared on behalf of clients in matters before the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

 

He served in the military as a Marine Officer, upon completion of the Officer Candidates School of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps. While not representing clients, Hans enjoys cooking and exploring beautiful hiking trails in British Columbia.
